This comprehensive course is taught in a dynamic, hands-on way with industry-leading curriculum and content from the expert in occupational first aid training.

 

This course will provide the vital knowledge needed to respond to a medical emergency effectively and efficiently.

THIS IS A CONTACTLESS CLASS, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PHYSICALLY INTERACT WITH THE INSTRUCTOR OR OTHER PARTICIPANTS. 

Participants Will Learn To

  • Recognize a medical emergency

  • Handle breathing and cardiac emergencies

  • Act appropriately and effectively and sustain life until professional help arrives

  • Prevent disease transmission

  • Identify and care for bleeding, sudden illness and injuries

Course Information

  • 6.0 hour class (STANDARD)

  • Class is divided into 2 back-to-back Saturday sessions (3 hours each Saturday)

  • Class Times: 9am to 12pm (each Saturday)

  • Meets ALL OSHA First Aid Standard 29 CFR 1910.51

  • Quick Reference Guide

  • Access to the NSC online video library

  • First Aid Packets for classroom activities (gloves, gauze, triangular bandage, rolled gauze bandage)

  • Check the Victim

  • Recovery Position

  • Bleeding and Wound Care

  • Shock

  • Burns

  • Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries

  • Spinal Injury

  • Concussion and Head Injury

  • Heart Attack and Chest Pain

  • Stroke

  • Asthma

  • Diabetic Emergency

  • Using an Auto-Injector 

  • Poisoning

  • Allergic Reactions and Anaphylactic Shock 

  • Cold and Heat Emergencies

  • Rescuing and Moving Victims  

  • Adult CPR 1-1 Rescuer to Victim

  • Adult CPR 2-1 Rescuers to Victim

  • Adult AED

  • Pediatric CPR 1-1 Rescuer to Victim

  • Pediatric AED   

  • Choking (Adult & Pediatric)

You will be certified on BOTH Adult & Pediatric (toddler & infant) Victims.  

 

Course Cost

  • $40 Per Student​ 

  • Certification Card is good for 2 years

  • Issued by the National Safety Council

  • Minimum enrollment - 3 participants

  • Maximum enrollment - 10 participants
